Mandy Rodstrom, MA, CCC-SLP, lives in Westerville, Ohio alongside her husband and three children. She is a person who stutters and a 19-year school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. After learning about Spero's Ally of Stuttering program at a One Day Friends conference in January 2023, becoming an Ally of Stuttering was exactly the professional growth opportunity she was looking for. Since then, she has made it her professional and personal mission to empower and advocate for her students who stutter as well as to encourage all SLPs to grow in their stuttering therapeutic practices. Alongside her professional growth journey, she has also been on a personal journey transitioning from a 35+ year Covert person who stutters to an Overt person who stutters. This connection with Spero has nurtured a new found confidence and has opened up new professional endeavors as well! Most recently, she was hired as a part-time Clinical Supervisor at Western Michigan University, specializing in Stuttering. Being an Ally of Stuttering SLP aligns with her personal and professional mission to continue to learn, connect with the stuttering community, empower and advocate for children who stutter, people who stutter, and their families.
